Modern Aluminium windows are designed to last so it is important that you make the right choice.

When double glazed windows first became popular in the late 1960's Aluminium was the material most often used.
Its main advantage was its strength. Windows manufactured with Aluminium are more resistant to warping, twisting or sticking when subjected to the elements. They are also virtually intruder proof. Additionally Aluminium neither absorbs water, rots or rusts.

In the last decade Aluminium windows have decreased in popularity mainly because it became a more expensive alternative than PVCu. Additionally the insulation qualities of Aluminium are quite poor when compared to PVCu and it was often susceptible to condensation. This lack of insulation is partly remedied by installing a 'thermal break' in the Aluminium frame. If you chose Aluminium for your replacement windows we would only suggest you consider windows with a thermal break.

One of the main advantages is that Aluminium windows can be manufactured to virtually any colour. Also they can have a dual finish - different colours on the internal and external faces.
Locking handles come as standard and a choice of locking systems are available including multipoint locks with shortbolts for that extra piece of mind.

To keep out those other unwelcome intruders - bad weather and draughts - durable double weather sealing comes as standard on an opening windows (capable of performing to the severest rating required under the British standard).

Choosing a PVC-U Vertical Sliding Sash Window will give you all the benefits of a modern window with all the charm and character of the traditional vertical sliding window. This will mean the end of costly, time consuming painting and repairs every two to three years.

Cleaning PVC-U couldn`t be easier combine this with the use of a pivot bar. This allows the window to tilt, so that the exterior glass can actually be cleaned from the inside.

Three sash options allow a variation of application styles, including a deep bottom rail for a truly traditional appearance.

A wide variety of decorative options and colour choices are available: white, light oak, mahoghany or a combination of either light oak on white or mahoghany on white.

Circular/Arched  Windows

PVC-U window technology has come a long way since its inception. Today it is possible to adapt PVC-U profiles to meet virtually any installation. Arched head windows for example, are now readily available. The effect can be achieved in various ways-most commonly through shaped inserts into the top of the frame, or alternatively through a specialised technique which curves the profile during manufacture.
